Consultative Selling Skills for Sales Professionals

Chicago: February 29, 2012

Let’s face it, the “tired” and “worn out” sales approaches and methods from years gone by are not nearly as effective as they once were. Pressure and manipulation tactics must be replaced with effective listening and questioning skills to carefully understand what the customer “really” wants, then work with the customer to find and deliver the best possible solutions.

Understanding the client’s perception of value is the key factor in determining how to enhance your proposition so the client cannot resist. The goal of any selling process must be to earn and sustain a loyal and partnership-minded client base that will keep coming back. That is why you must transform your sales team into “customer friendly” advisers; trusted by your clients to help them make complex buying decisions.
